Top games to play with kids from “Training Wheels for Dad”

August 19, 2011

The founder of Training Wheels for Dads, Alex realized his life would never be the same after the birth of his son.  Alex’s goal?  Offer dads a quality, reliable resource for parenting advice in a supportive community based atmosphere.

Alex write informative pieces about health, food, survival, adventure — and of course family! Recently, his piece “Playing games with kids” highlighted some great games that both kids and parents can enjoy including the You’ve been Sentenced! word game. Alex says,

“Break away from the computer, TV, and cell phone for 20 minutes and interact with your kids. Give them your full attention. Playing games with your kids is a good way to keep their focus as well as your undivided attention for more than the usual 30 seconds. Learn how your kids are developing and how they reason through situations by playing games. You might be surprised what you find out about your child that you didn’t know.”

His take on You’ve been Sentenced!: “It’s a great opportunity to teach kids grammar, sentence structure, and reasoning while laughing and having fun.”
