McNeill Designs is supporting the Holiday Gift Bank Program with a gift of toys and games

December 13, 2010

Have you ever been in the hospital around the holidays? What a sad place to be! Now imagine that you’re a little kid…

To help, McNeill Designs for Brighter Minds recently announced its support of the Holiday of Hope Gift Banks with a donation of award-winning games including Creative Child Magazine’s Game of the Year, Twisted Fish. The program is coordinated by the Kids Wish Network.

The Holiday of Hope Gift Bank program recognizes a unique need at pediatric hospitals and other facilities for children. The children there are often frightened, lonely, and do not always understand what is going on around them. The program was created to help make their days brighter and to offer the opportunity for caregivers to distract patients from their often frightening situations.

McNeill Designs joins other leading manufacturers in their pledge to provide millions of dollars worth of toys and games this year alone for these special children in hospitals and other child care facilities throughout the country.

In addition to the Holiday Gift Bank program, the Kids Wish Network grants wishes to kids between the ages of 3 and 18 who are battling life-threatening conditions. The child must be able to communicate his or her wish and cannot have had a wish with another organization. “Wish kids” can request just about anything for their wish, including trips to theme parks, meeting celebrities, travel, shopping sprees, computers or commodities.

If your facility would like to become a member of the program, please contact Kids Wish Network at 888-918-9004 or visit them at Kids Wish Network.
