You’ve been Sentenced! and Twisted Fish game reviews for the week: October 11-15, 2010

“This is the kind of game that one can really get into and get seriously addicted to. It is refreshing in that you have to use your brain, but, at the same time you can get giggling. Our younger kids weren’t able to join in (they are too young, you need to be able to read), but, they enjoyed listening to other players by sitting around the table and laughing at the funny sentences that we were coming up with. They like silly and some of what was being said was pretty silly!”

“Not only is this game fabulous for family game night fun, it’s also great for get togethers and all us adults enjoy it without the kids as well.  We like to play in teams or even see who can come up with the sentence with the longest words first.  Just some of the sentences that we came up with were “Needy Napoleon figured out that (wild card) maddening pigs are bombing the monkey bars.”  Another one was “Spooky, pink F. The hilarity begins…”

Well all that changed when I got You’ve Been Sentenced! game from McNeill Designs.

No matter what age you are you will enjoy it. I took it to my daughter’s house last weekend for the grandchildren to play and we ended up playing it instead…”

SIMPLY ABUNDANT LIVING “We are game lovers in my family. Since we try to avoid television to some extent and look for alternative ways to spend time together, board games are one thing we spend a lot of time doing. As soon as children become readers in our household, they quickly move up to active game-players, participating with everyone else in rousing games during the evenings.

I was recently happy to receive a game to review. The game is called You’ve Been Sentenced! This game combines several key aspects of a successful game, in my opinion. Not only is it exciting and enjoyable, it is educational as well. I love it when my kids can learn while they have fun…”
