Moms agree. The You’ve been Sentenced! word game is a hit for Family Game Night!

October 8, 2010

Many thanks to all the mom’s out there who just love the You’ve been Sentenced! word game. Please keep those comments and reviews coming!

“Here’s something that I really think you will enjoy.  A good ‘mind’ game that will really have you hooked after the first time you play it.  Recently I had the opportunity to try You’ve been Sentenced! by McNeill Designs.  Get ready to have some fun.  You can play with as little as 3 players (which is what we have) but you can play 10 players – awesome to pull out when you are having a party.”

“We like to play games together as a family. I think there’s just too much “plugged in time” nowadays with kids. Generally once a week, we try to have family fun night where we play games instead of watching TV or using the computer.

I really like educational games but the kids don’t always want to “learn.” They want to have fun instead. I’m always pretty impressed with myself when I manage to get them to learn when they think they’re just having fun 🙂 You’ve Been Sentenced! is one of those games where they actually learned while having fun.”

“My family loves board games. We even like to have friends over to have board game nights! We were super excited to have the chance to try out “You’ve Been Sentenced!”.

Since Cooper is too young for this game, I took it to a family event and played it with a couple of my younger nieces and nephews (between the ages of 10 and 14). We had so much fun! Some of our sentences were so funny, we were literally rolling on the floor laughing so hard!

Another great thing about this game is that a portion of each retail sale of “You’ve been Sentenced!” goes to fight illiteracy in the USA through the not-for-profit organization Success Won’t Wait, Inc. Founded in 2002, the organization’s mission is to encourage reading, particularly by children. For more information about Success Won’t Wait and its literacy programs, please visit Success Won’t Wait.”

I would highly recommend this game to anyone who loves to play board games. It is guaranteed to be a load of fun, no matter what your age!”

“Our family plays a lot of board games, and we now have a new family favorite! It’s called You’ve Been Sentenced, produced by McNeill Designs; and it makes building sentences fun! Even the kids love this game, and have fun trying to make a sentence!

This game is a lot of fun for people of all ages. Everyone in our family loves it. After we had played it a few times, I heard 9 year-old M remark to her sister “I love playing this game”. And the best part is, they’re learning, whether they realize it or not! By playing You’ve Been Sentenced, they are learning how to put words together, build sentences, be creative, and improve their grammar.”
